Little Red

An old sketch of Little Red I finally got around to coloring. Tried lines and no lines and not sure wish one I prefer.

And where the hell are my other blog mates!!!!?

there's such a subtle difference between the two, its hard to say. The Silhoutte is strong either way.

I'd have to say the deciding factor is how much weight you want in the end. The one with the lines seems a tad more solid and heavier. While the one without lines seems lighter.

Awesome stuff! The one with the lines will always be stronger, you can put anything behind it and it'll pop. The solid fills, on certain backgrounds can mess with your eyes (the wolf's brown fill on the bluish green background). Like 'brandon' said it's what you want in the end.

Very cool stuff - where are you partners in crime?

Thanks for your comments guys!!! I think the one with the outlines is much stronger.

Where are the other Morsels artists? lol. haven't seen them in alooooooooooooooooooong while. Much longer and I'm renaiming this place Blog o Ham!

I think they aren't around much anymore cuz well... Scott has his own blog site he maintains, Kristens has her own blog too, and well Dean, he just uses the drawing board.

Gary's Kicking-ass and taking names! I like the no-line look. Did you put a slight fur texture on the wolf? I like that.

Nice work, Gary!

I like the line work better, but you can play with different line thickness, maybe a thinner line width on the body parts. Also try a dark color similar to the background like a dark blue-aqua for the line color.
