Haminals goes gag panel

I figured it was time to dust off some animal designs of mine and put them to use again. For those of you who don't know, the animals were done for a children's book my ex-wife Lauren wrote based on some wrapping paper I drew one christmas eve. My brother suggested I do some cartoons with them, so thats what I did. Last night I ran home and drew up 3. Here is one of them.

She's too sexy for this jail

Here is yet another convicted love piece. Her walk gave me some problems, so I did two versions. I think I still prefer the original on the left more, while others lean towards the second. How say you?
The inking approach was influenced by Hank Ketchum, so I made the number on the inmates uniform Hank's birthdate.

Soooo Predictable
I've been thinking about my artwork and style lately. I feel like my stuff is becoming too predictable. Whenever I look at my drawings I can't help but think I've drawn that face, expression, hairstyle, or pose before. Take this "sitting girl" for instance. I just realized her face is similar to this girlie I drew last year. sheesh! I think it's about time I mix things up a bit. Hopefully my next post will be less predictable.

This is something i did for school. It's a modern take on the fairytale "The 12 Dancing Princesses" I originally miscounted and had 11, so I had to add the 12th at the last minute. heh! That should explain the headless girl on the far right. The dresses were done with photos of fabrics from a magazine. Sorry for the poor quality in these. It was too big to scan and my camera sucks!

This was a little Oekaki from the other night
